Decarbonization in the spotlight
With an investment volume of 250 million euros, we were able to achieve a particularly positive effect on the CO2 footprint of our production by building an RDF power plant in Spremberg and renewing energy production from lignite to a gas turbine in Pitten.
Reducing energy consumption
With concerted efforts towards reducing energy consumption, enhancing energy efficiency in production and support processes and transitioning to renewable energy sources, we can actively promote positive environmental, economic and societal outcomes whilst securing our strategic independence from fossil fuel reliance. Leveraging advancements in energy efficiency and integrating renewable energies and advanced systems offer opportunities for further emissions reduction and targeted energy optimization.
Sustainability Report 2023
Prinzhorn Group is proud to always have pursued a sustainable business approach. Circular products are core to our company purpose, our value chain is inherently circular and we offer 100% recyclable solutions. We are delighted to present our first Sustainability Report that aims to give an insight into how we approach sustainability within Prinzhorn Group and share our passion for what we do: living the cycle and contributing to a bright future with sustainable products.
Reporting transparently about our commitment to sustainability will address the requirements and expectations of our customers, suppliers, investors and employees.
We are convinced that this will create a strong basis for our future professional sustainability management in cooperation with our stakeholders in many areas including environmental protection.
